I'm Jeff Walters, a mortgage broker born and raised right here in Calgary. Over more than 20 years I've worked across commercial finance and real estate investing — structuring deals, reviewing lender terms, and living through the details of buying, holding and refinancing property myself.
That background is why I focus so heavily on the fit of a mortgage rather than just the headline rate. Prepayment privileges, penalty calculations, renewal terms and qualification rules can be worth far more than a few basis points over the life of a mortgage. I walk clients through those trade-offs so the choice is theirs, made with full information.
Away from work, you'll usually find me on a golf course somewhere in the foothills or hiking the mountain trails west of the city. Alberta is home, and I like helping people put down roots here.

That means honest numbers, no hidden conditions, and enough explanation that you could confidently describe your own mortgage to someone else. An empowered client makes better long-term financial decisions — and comes back years later, which is the only marketing I need.
